Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Hebrews 10:23 NLT
Hope is found only in the Word of God. Hope is not a feeling of expectation it is the very essence of our faith in the promises of God. We risk everything and lose nothing, trusting only in Jesus. Consider Galatians 3:29 and 18: And if you belong to Christ [if you are in Him], then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [God’s] promise. For if the inheritance [of what was promised] is based on [observing] the Law [as these false teachers claim], it is no longer based on a promise; however, God granted it to Abraham [as a gift] by virtue of His promise. We, being in Christ are Abraham’s descendants, spiritual heirs to God’s promises. For the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him amen, to the glory of God by us [2 Corinthians 1:20].
The promises of God belong to the children of God. An inheritance willed by a loving Father through the precious blood of His Beloved Son; a gift only to be joyously received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The promise of health, long life, prosperity, children, good success, land, property, reconciliation, restoration, debt cancellation, favor… belong to you, for with God nothing is impossible [Luke 1:37]. As heirs to such an abundant inheritance we must steward the promises of God with great intention, relinquishing all apprehension, by unmasking the fear that hinders faith to believe and receive all that God has stored up and keeps ready for His children. Jesus has already overcome the world; true victory is in believing.
Beloved, fear not believe only. Don’t stagger at the promises of God, the blood of Jesus, the Anointed One gives you the right to take your inheritance. James said, “… he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord” [James 1:6]. One wavers when he loosens his grip on the word of promise, permitting thoughts of doubt to betray the confidence placed in Him. The solution is to simply refocus your attention to the word-set your mind and keep it set on the promise. Though the enemy attempts to steal the word despising the will of God, be assured, the will of God is for you to prosper; in fact, your heavenly Father takes great joy in your success. Stand on the promise, we are not ignorant of the devil’s schemes [2 Corinthians 2:11]. Resist him steadfast in the faith, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ [1 Peter 5:9; 2 Corinthians 10:5]. Believe only, align your thinking with the word and speak Truth in the face of doubt. Doubt is no match for the Truth. Enforce Christ’s victory by releasing the authority of God in power and confidently quip,… I have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows] [John 14:6; Mark 5:36; John 10:10]. Beloved, fearlessly war a good warfare from the seat of victory, at the right hand of God in Christ, clothed in the whole armor of God, stand against the opposition in the name of Jesus [1 Timothy 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15:57; Ephesians 2:6; Ephesians 6:11-18].
The just shall live by faith in Jesus. Living a lifestyle of faith requires believers to persevere in hope with an unwavering commitment to Truth irrespective of feelings. Thy Word is truth [John 17:17]. The word of God is spirit and life, the seed which contains within the spiritual DNA to manifest itself, yet without the release of faith it will not become– the word needs your voice. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, … [Matthew 17:20] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation [Romans 10:10]. I believe and therefore I have spoken [2 Corinthians 4:13]. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you [Job 22:28]. Give spirit permission to live in your world – speak it! Faith speaks NOW. Receive the promise, meditate it until it takes root in your heart and speak. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks [Luke 6:45].
“I have abundance, I have favor with God and man, I am the righteousness of God in Christ, I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony, I believe I receive – I take it – I have it – I own it- it’s mine, I have the victory in Christ Jesus, all things work together for my good, I trust God to keep His promises to me…” speak the Truth!
Be patient with yourself, God is for you and He’s given the Comforter, the Holy Spirit to you. He will teach you, He will lead and guide you into all truth. Trust the Lord to reveal Himself to you through His word and as He does, you’ll find that your faith, trust and confidence will rest only in Him.
Let the word of God ignite your faith and trust in Jesus. Reading through the gospel of Matthew my attention was drawn to chapter 8 and verse 8, the Centurion said to the Master, “…speak the word and my servant shall be healed…” There’s a great deal more to be revealed from this exchange, but “…speak the word and my servant shall be healed…” is the chorus that melodiously sang in my spirit. Jesus considered this “Great Faith!” Seriously, this is the recipe for great faith – believe the word of God! God’s word is the highest authority in the Universe. His word created everything that exists. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made [John 1:3]. Jesus – God our Salvation upholds all things by the power of His word [Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:17]. The Centurion understood the authority of God’s word and acknowledged it by submitting to Him, you see, God and His word are One. God can be trusted to keep His promise to you.
As you stand under the flow of blessing, God’s favor surrounding you as a shield, declare by faith, I trust God to keep His promises to me, I have His word on it. Hold tight without wavering and rejoice. Great faith believes, receives, hopes in and speaks the Word. With God all things are possible, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever [Matthew 8:8; Matthew 19:26; Hebrews 10:23; Hebrews 13:8].
Your friend in Christ!
